This engine is my first diesel, it was modeled after a series of GP38s of various designs.

The Upper Chattahoochee is a fictional railway in the North Georgia region.

Cass Railroad Shay #5
Designer: Lewis Valentine

Modeled after a Shay engine that was built in 1985. #5 is still operational for Cass Scenic Railway in West Virginia. Here original job as with a lot of shays was logging, today she carries tourist through Cass Scenic Railroad State Park.
