This accessory set was available as a way to extend the basic layouts in sets #6399 and #6990. Obviously, it could also be used to extend the new #6991 set as well. It obviously didn't sell very well because this set could still be found in Toys R Us in 1996 at the bargain price of $12.90!
It comes with a circle of track, two points, two long straights, four short straights and two half curves that attach to the points. Also included are ten support pillars and all the connector plates that you need.
The instructions show many interesting layout possibilies when combined with sets #6399 and #6990. Four are shown for #6399 and four for #6990.
