NEXT EVENT 10th Annual Athens Railroad Days , Athens GA. April 19, 2008

The motivation behind the NGTLC is for members to build, design, operate and have fun with LEGO trains. Also, LEGO trains are a great and unique way to model trains, in a wholesome and rewarding family environment. And at the same time, to encourage people of all ages to open their minds and stimulate their imaginations
The main goals of the club are to:
Develop an environment in which club members can share ideas and concepts
Give members an area to display and run their trains
Continue the steady growth of LEGO trains as a hobby in the Georgia area
Have fun
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I didn’t know LEGO made trains, are these a new thing?
A: LEGO trains have been around since the 60s in one form or another. The current 9volt series has been available since 1990.
Q: Are they kits or do you just make them up?
A: Some of the trains here today are from regular LEGO kits, others are original creations. The nice thing about LEGO Trains is that you can always change what you have, into anything you can imagine.
Q: I never see these in the stores, where do you buy the sets and parts?
A: Unfortunately few stores carry LEGO trains, and if they do it’s a very limited selection. Most of the parts and trains you see here are bought directly from LEGO’s “Shop at Home” service. You can reach them at 1-800-453-4652 and they’ll send you the latest catalog.
Q: Is the NGLTC associated with LEGO?
A: No, the NGLTC layout is made up of the private collections of our members.
Q: How can I contact the NGLTC for more information?
A: Please feel free to visit our web site, or email us at mailto:questions@ngltc.org for any LEGO train questions you may have.
